IT'S WEDDING WEEK!
This week my thoughts are on all the brides who experience wedding week, because thirty-five years ago this was my wedding week! I was just like a lot of brides today who think "my wedding date is going to be a time when not much is going on" and "I can handle all the planning myself (with help from family and friends)". This is not always the case. Your family and friends have lives too and they are busy. I was a senior in college and got married during mid-term exams! I thought it was a good time since we were out of school for a few days and we could have a brief honeymoon.
I was a DIY bride before it became trendy. I was busy making things for my wedding while attending school and working three jobs! Sometimes brides think DIY is saving money, but you have to look at the materials purchased to make the items and the time involved. When we are thinking about these projects, we forget about how tired we might be and how we tend to procrastinate.
Even though I have always dreamed of being a wedding planner, my own wedding sealed the deal. I want a bride and her family to enjoy the wedding planning and not be stressed or frustrated. Brides think they can't afford a wedding planner. As a wedding planner I can help save you money and handle the details, so you can enjoy this time of being engaged. Your finance' and family will thank you for it because they don't want to hear about how much you have to do or how much you want them to do for the wedding!
