The Transition of Weddings

Tomorrow is my 34th wedding anniversary to my best friend. Within two months of our first date, we were taking about getting married. We have the best time traveling and he is very supportive and a big help with Graceful Beginnings. We laugh together a lot and that is so important.
When we got married, we had the ceremony in our church and the reception was in the church fellowship hall. The ceremony was at 2 pm and we had cake, punch, nuts and mints for the reception. I remember planning the details with my mother and as I look back it seemed everything had to be "traditional" because that is the way you did weddings.
I am so glad that things have changed. Brides will ask me, "Can I do that?" My response is, "Do whatever you want." Weddings are about showing your personality. That is why most of the money is spent on receptions. It allows the couple to have fun and to shine on their special day.
Happy Anniversary, Steve.
I love you!
