Tip #1: The Bride should be the only person wearing white to the wedding. I am seeing more and more guests wearing white. Just because you are attending a summer outdoor wedding doesn't mean you should dress in white. I have even seen the mother of the groom wear white! Have respect for the bride and let her shine!
Tip #2: Mothers, and any women in the family who are not in the wedding party, should wear a dress that blends with the colors the bride has chosen. When family pictures are made, consider how they will look. For example, if the wedding colors are pale green and black and the mothers choose to wear bright pink, then they will be the first person people will see in the pictures instead of the bride and groom.
Tip #3: Be considerate of the children in the wedding party the day of the wedding. Photographers schedule several hours of pictures the day of the wedding. This is very tiring for children to the point they do not want to participate in the ceremony. Some suggestions are: (1) Have the children arrive closer to the ceremony for their pictures; (2) If the children must be at the ceremony location most of the day, suggest to their parents they rest or take a nap prior to the ceremony; and (3) have toys and snacks available to keep them occupied.
