Latest Wedding Trends

Southern Living Weddings magazine is now on the newstands. The magazine features several wedding professionals who were asked this question, "What trends are you noticing in the wedding world?"
"Weddings are steering away from the super vintage-inspired and rustic to a more classic vibe."  Austin Gros, Photographer
"Cookie-cutter brides are a thing of the past. Women want their personalities to be shown in the dresses."  Faith Thornburg, Dress Designer
"We're seeing couples reinvent the wheel to suit their own unique personalities and tastes. From mismatched bridesmaids dresses that let each girl shine to alfresco dinners with family-style dining, weddings are becoming so much more about the individuals behind them, rather than the tradition as a whole."  Abby Larson, Editor and Founder of stylemepretty.com
"A Gatsby 1920's era is emerging, with lots of sequins, delicate laces, and elaborate hairpieces. The style has become dominant in men's fashion with vests, suspenders, and bow ties."  Molly Gee Waggener, Veil and Accessories Designer
The main thing is to let your wedding be your wedding. It is so tempting to want to put everything you see in magazines, on television, and at other weddings in your wedding. But is that really you and your fiance's personality?
